Business profile information submitted for publication may be shown publicly after review.
Business Owner Accounts
Clerk provides owner sign-in and account security. Tamil Directory stores ownership requests, business details and a history of listing changes in its database. Claim evidence is used to check ownership and is not displayed on public listings. Business contact details you save are public when the listing is published. Closing an owner account does not automatically delete a public business listing; contact us about a correction or removal.
Conversations With Aanmika
Your messages and relevant public directory records are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the configured AI provider to generate replies. Conversation history is saved in local storage on this browser (up to 20 conversations and 40 messages per conversation). Delete conversations in Aanmika or clear site data to remove it. Tamil Directory does not save full conversations in its database. Providers may process requests under their own retention policies. We keep short-lived, keyed-hash request counters and a signed browser cookie to enforce 10 questions per day, resetting at midnight Toronto time. IP addresses sharing a network share that allowance; signed-in accounts are also limited. Clearing chat history does not reset usage. Do not share passwords, identity documents or private customer information in chat.

Website Analytics
The current site’s policy describes analytics for searches, profile views, call clicks, direction clicks, website clicks, add-business submissions, and premium plan interest.
